professionalism at the workplace Let us understand the new Idea

It’s high time that we start treating human more as a human rather than a resource Professionalism. We are always told to be professional at work. One should not mix professional life with their personal life. No matter how much f&#ked up our personal life is but we always have to show up at work with professional attitude as if nothing has happened. But deep inside we know how much broken we are...Everywhere I hear this that colleagues are colleagues they can't be your friends... Seniors are seniors you must not argue with them. Whatever they say we have to accept. They are more experienced than us hence they know better and etc etc dialogues...It’s high time that we start treating human more as a human rather than a resource...

1.    Those who are more of a friendly nature give them more leadership roles:
I have noticed people who handles everything with their dictator skills, they are given more leadership roles however those who have friendly skills and are polite in their attitude they are not given much leadership roles... Its high time that we understand that slavery and controlling attitude of making work done should not exist anymore....For example if someone is a slow performer instead of taking that person to the meeting room, throwing out questions and creating a pressured like environment in closed doors.. one can ask the person for a cup of tea and inter-personally ask the problem he or she is facing at work, also motivate the person to work properly so that he/she can be rewarded appropriately.. And Mind it!! There is big difference between motivating someone and scaring the hell out of someone..

2.    Let your colleagues say their heart out at work so that they can feel comfortable
Why can't we say about our personal problems at work....work place is our second homewe spend more time here than at home. You are giving someone piles of work but you might already be knowing that the person is not able to focus in his work because he is facing some personal troubles.. And he is not able to say this in a fear of being judged as unprofessional or even if he says people deny it saying you have to be professional at work and this is when the mental stress and pressure starts arising..

3.    If the employee is going through a tough time then understand the situation
For example he might be having a mother at home who is seriously ill and there might be lots of personal calls to attend and he is constantly thinking about her mother but at the same time you are giving this person with piles of work to finish. Work pressure should be according to the situation when you know that this guy has a mother who is seriously ill then why do we pressure him with so much of work.

4.    Understand we are human beings as well
I have faced lot of interviews and in most of the interviews i felt that these people are not focusing on my skills rather they are thinking if i am ready to give up on my life for the company... Its high time that we stop thinking in such a way and stop taking Professionalism too much seriously...  Somewhere i read that change is required and of course it is required...
I can't resist myself from writing as I am a working professional in a MNC.
